Inter-Tec Aero is an EASA Part 21J aerospace approved design organisation with offices in Shannon, Ireland and Prestwick Airport, Scotland. The business has been providing solutions to the aerospace industry since 1997. Currently we have a staff of 12.

The business has an expanding workload across our existing and developing global customer base, hence we are actively recruiting graduate engineers who can grow with the business as the aerospace community steadily recovers from recent economic challenges.

This is an exciting time to join the Inter-Tec Aero team as we adapt to the changes taking place across our sector.

The successful candidates will be ambitious, forward-thinking and possess exceptional task investigative skills which will help propel business to the next level.

Recruits will join a dedicated team of engineers and support staff working on the design and certification of modifications and repairs to aircraft, helicopters, and engine nacelle structures.

Base location at the outset is likely to be the Prestwick office. However, we need to focus this year on development of the team in Shannon, Ireland; we would therefore be receptive this year to candidates who would in due course choose to be based in the Shannon office. An element of remote working will be offered within the first-year dependent on progress, and certainly at such stage as engineers would potentially be based in the Shannon office.

Successful candidates for this position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Job Description.

The role will be focused on the development of modifications and upgrades to aircraft and the preparation of structural repair solutions.

Candidates will become actively involved in the preparation of design and certification solutions in support of modification and repair project requirements. Those recruited will build knowledge of aviation regulations and their application across our projects. This will also include preparation of drawings and stress calculations.

Good organisation skills will be required to support delivery outputs, to strict time, cost, and quality measures from initial concept design through to the final fully certificated integrated solution.

The successful candidate(s) will;-

  • demonstrate a keen aptitude to investigate technical problems, and to scope solutions
  • develop skills towards taking growing responsibility for addressing engineering and manufacturing challenges in the design realisation of specific structural repair solutions
  • be able to communicate effectively both internally, and through time externally, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Candidates will be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or a related subject and will be encouraged, through our graduate development and mentoring programme to progress their career to chartered engineer (CEng) status.

A competitive salary package, in line with current graduate engineer expectation, will be offered to the successful candidates.

If you are interested to apply for one of the graduate roles please send cover letter and your cv to fred.gorrie@inter-tec.aero.
